Heart Check-ups

  • EKG (Electrocardiogram): record the electrical activity of the heart
  • Echocardiogram: Ultrasound examination of the heart
  • Exercise Stress Test (EST): Evaluates heart function during physical activity
  • Coronary Calcium Score CT: CT scan to detect calcium deposits in coronary arteries

Coronary Artery Disease Treatment (Balloon / Stent)

  • Coronary Angiography (CAG): Injection of contrast dye through a catheter to visualize coronary arteries
  • Balloon Angioplasty: Expansion of narrowed arteries using a balloon
  • Stent Insertion: Placement of a mesh tube to support the expanded artery wall
  • Rotational Atherectomy (Rotablator): Removal of calcified plaque or hardened fatty deposits within the artery

Arrhythmia Diagnosis & Treatment

  • Electrophysiology Study (EPS): Examination of the heart’s electrical system
  • 3D Mapping (such as Carto System): Three-dimensional electrical mapping of the heart
  • Radiofrequency Catheter Ablation (RFCA): Ablation of abnormal electrical pathways causing arrhythmias

Cardiac Device Implantation

  • Permanent Pacemaker (PPM): Implantation of a device to regulate slow or abnormal heart rhythms.
  • Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD): A device that continuously monitors for and corrects life-threatening fast heart rhythms.
  • Resynchronization Therapy (CRT-P/CRT-D): A specialized device to improve the heart’s pumping efficiency in heart failure patients.

Heart Surgery Coordination

  • Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG): Creates new routes for blood to flow around blocked coronary arteries.
  • Valve Surgery: Surgical repair or replacement of one or more of the heart’s valves.
  • Aortic Surgery: Procedures to repair or replace the aorta, the body’s main artery.
