Heart Health Check-ups
Heart Health Screening is a cardiovascular risk assessment designed to detect early signs of heart disease and develop appropriate cardiac care plans.
The services include:
- EKG (Electrocardiogram): record the electrical activity of the heart
- Echocardiogram: Ultrasound examination of the heart
- Exercise Stress Test (EST): Evaluates heart function during physical activity
- Holter Monitor: Continuous monitoring of heart rhythm for 24-72 hours
- Coronary Calcium Score CT: CT scan to detect calcium deposits in coronary arteries
Coronary Artery Disease Treatment (Balloon / Stent)
Coronary Angiography (CAG) & Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI)
Coronary Angiography (CAG) is a diagnostic procedure that uses contrast dye with X-ray imaging to visualize the coronary arteries in detail. If significant stenosis (artery narrowing) is found, treatment can often be performed during the same procedure. This is known as Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) and typically involves balloon angioplasty and/or stent placement.
Procedures Available:
- Coronary Angiography (CAG): Injection of contrast dye through a catheter to visualize coronary arteries
- Balloon Angioplasty: Expansion of narrowed arteries using a balloon
- Stent Insertion: Placement of a mesh tube to support the expanded artery wall
- Rotational Atherectomy (Rotablator): Removal of calcified plaque or hardened fatty deposits within the artery
Arrhythmia Diagnosis & Treatment
Cardiac arrhythmia is caused by abnormalities in the heart’s electrical system, which may result in symptoms such as palpitations, dizziness, or syncope. Diagnosis and treatment utilizing specialized technology, are aimed at restoring a normal heart rhythm.
Services include:
- Electrophysiology Study (EPS): Examination of the heart’s electrical system
- 3D Mapping (such as Carto System): Three-dimensional electrical mapping of the heart
- Radiofrequency Catheter Ablation (RFCA): Ablation of abnormal electrical pathways causing arrhythmias
Cardiothoracic surgery
Used to treat patients with bradycardia or severe arrhythmias, including certain types of heart failure. The devices used include:
- Permanent Pacemaker (PPM): Implantation of a permanent cardiac pacemaker
- Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD): A device that continuously monitors for and corrects life-threatening fast heart rhythms.
- Resynchronization Therapy (CRT-P/CRT-D): Cardiac resynchronization therapy for heart failure patients
Heart Surgery Coordination
Cardiothoracic surgery involves the treatment of complex conditions of the heart and blood vessels, performed by specialized surgical teams working alongside experienced anesthesiologists and nurses.
Types of Surgery:
- Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG): Coronary artery bypass surgery
- Valve Surgery: Heart valve repair or replacement surgery
- Aortic Surgery: Aortic vessel surgery
- Remark: Many of our cardiothoracic surgeries can be performed using minimally invasive techniques, resulting in smaller incisions, less pain, and faster recovery.
